HOW TO GET

MAP

By car:
We advise you to use a variety of GPS navigators.
In Georgia, works well: Google maps, open street maps (OSMand), navitel, here, 7ways, mapsme.
Coordinates of competition camp is 41.868586, 42.104063

Public transport:
Ozurgeti is capital of Guria region and largest city of the region, therefore, you can easily arrive from large citys by buses to Ozurgeti.
From the bus station or the city center you need to take a taxi and ask to take you to the hydroelectric power station on the road in the direction to Shemokmedi and resort Gomis Mta. Competition field in 15 km from the city.

The shuttle can be arranged on request.

We can help to organize transfer from the main big cities of Georgia (Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi)

 

ACCOMMODATION

During the race will be organized free camping for all participants and guests.
Ozurgeti is in 15 km from the camp, where are several options of accommodation in hotels, guest-houses or private homes.
Kobuleti is in 40 km from the camp , which also provides accommodation in guest houses near the Black sea.

 

VOLUNTEERS

The Bzhuzha race aims to create a space that encourages nature lovers to explore and experience what the river has to offer. Our great team of volunteers will work together to create an unforgettable event.

Volunteers will basically help the Festival develop successfully.

 Options for volunteers may be:

  • Athlete orientation

  • Course Set-Up

  • Judges in Competitions

  • First Aid responders

  • Help with lunches and dinners
  • River safety (previous whitewater experience required)

  • DJ's, Performers, Entertainers

  • People with experience in Slalom competition races.

If you have a talent that can help us, please tell us!

Remember... Some of these activities require no previous experience in the river or whitewater! Families and friends of athletes, visitors travelling and local people, all are welcome to come and spend a spectacular weekend.
